For the past few weeks I have been charting my mood almost daily on

I first read about moodscope in a Daily Beast article about things to do to get smarter in 2011 ( The idea behind moodscope is that you become more aware of how your mood is affected, and therefore can make better decisions about how to achieve a good mood.

What I’ve learned is that my mood is best when I have gotten a lot done. Yep, that’s right, I AM America. Productivity = happiness.

Now that I know that, I make the extra effort to do something just because I had planned to do it. Whether it’s a priority or not, it feels good to cross it off my mental checklist.

So check it out! I think it’s a good exercise in “wellness” maintenance which is supposed to be so important these days.
